(Washington, DC) Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 2467, the PFAS Action Act, bipartisan legislation to regulate PFAS chemicals, clean up contamination, and protect public health. Rep. Malinowski is a cosponsor of the legislation.

“PFAS is one of the most dangerous unregulated substances out there, and it’s about time we stopped corporations from bringing it into our homes and dumping it into our water,” said Rep. Malinowski. “This bill will protect New Jerseyans from these harmful chemicals.”

(Somerville, NJ) Today, Representatives Tom Malinowski (NJ-07) and Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ-12) sent a letter to President Biden requesting that the administration ask the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to reexamine the PennEast Pipeline’s Environmental Impact Statements for compliance with existing environmental statutes. The letter also urges the administration to review the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) interstate gas pipeline certification process.

(Washington, DC) “We are disappointed that the U.S. Department of Justice has submitted a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in which it defends the PennEast Pipeline Company’s efforts to exercise eminent domain to seize public lands. We agree with the State of New Jersey – and the 2019 ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit – that the Eleventh Amendment expressly bars private companies, like PennEast, from condemning state-owned land for their own private use.
