(Washington, DC) Today the House overwhelmingly passed this critical bill which is a long-overdue, bipartisan commonsense gun violence prevention measure. See Rep. Malinowski’s statement below.
“Universal background checks are the first down payment on the promise we made to the American people to reduce gun violence in our country.”
Mr. Speaker, I rise to urge that we come together today to defend the Constitution of the United States by repudiating President Trump’s emergency declaration of February 15th.
(Washington DC) The spending package adopted by Congress last night implements for FY2019 the goals of Representative Malinowski’s first legislative initiative, introduced last month: The Transportation Funding Fairness Act.

(Washington, DC) “I welcome the president’s decision to reopen the government today, and am grateful that this crisis is over, hopefully for good.”
The Transportation Funding Fairness Act (TFFA) of 2019 allows states to attribute federal transportation loans towards their share of jointly funded large-scale infrastructure projects.
