Press Release

(Somerville, NJ) This week, Representative Malinowski hosted a virtual briefing to discuss the recent changes to the state’s health care exchange, Get Covered NJ, that create significant savings on insurance premiums for New Jersey families. Rep. Malinowski was joined by Marlene Caride, Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance. Residents of New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District were provided an overview of the expanded benefits New Jersey is offering on top of those provided by the American Rescue Plan and had the opportunity to ask relevant questions. Watch a recording of the briefing here.

“When I ran for Congress in 2018, the number one demand I heard from voters was to make health care more accessible and more affordable,” said Representative Malinowski. “The American Rescue Plan has delivered life changing provisions that will lower the cost of health insurance for families across the country. Thank you to Commissioner Caride for providing details on how New Jerseyans can benefit from the recent changes and for answering the pressing questions of my constituents.”

The American Rescue Plan significantly expands the subsidies in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplaces to cover more middle class families and increase savings for those already receiving benefits for 2021 and 2022. To learn more, visit
