If you would like to apply for a Congressional nomination, please complete this application packet below and submit a physical copy to our Somerville, NJ office. To apply for a Congressional Nomination from our office, you must be a legal resident of New Jersey's Seventh Congressional District. Application Process

Once you have submitted an application, Congressman Malinowski’s Review Board will conduct a personal interview with each applicant meeting all requirements. Selections are made competitively on the basis of academic performance, leadership potential, extra-curricular activities, physical aptitude, personal interviews and letters of recommendation. Qualified individuals for each vacancy will be recommended by the board to Congressman Malinowski for nomination. The final ranking and subsequent appointments will be at the discretion of the Academies.

Due to the large number of applicants, you will be interviewed for only one Academy, so careful consideration should be given to your choice of Academy. Academy designation may be changed any time prior to Friday, October 16, 2020.

The Congressional Nomination process is very competitive, and we would like to urge you to apply to every nominating authority available to you, which includes both U.S. Senators, your Congressional Representative, and the Vice President. Should your eligibility allow, you may also apply to the President. Ideally, students seeking a nomination should begin the Congressional Academy process in April of their junior year of high school.

Remember, the admissions process runs on a separate but parallel track to the nomination process. You must also apply for admission to the institution(s) of your choice. Below please find links to the admissions portals for the academies which require a nomination. These links have information on the application process, instructional videos, and FAQs, and are an excellent resource.
